He has pushed for the implementation of environmental laws aimed at increasing recycling and reducing energy consumption.

Having autism since childhood has not stopped the 52-year-old actress from becoming an overachiever in her charitable works. Her impactful contributions towards sustainable living earned her the 2011 Environmental Hero award at the Santa Barbara Earth Day Festival.
The vegan activist has a website dedicated to encouraging sustainable living and low impact lifestyles. In addition to her outspoken activism and establishing the Sustainable Biodiesel Alliance, her home is solar powered with rain harvesting. Moreover, she doesn't use petroleum products on any of her vehicles.
