Kylie Jenner is no stranger to controversy when it comes to her new fashion line. In the latest turn of events, fans are accusing Jenner of copying Kanye West's Yeezy design with her new fashion range, Kye.

On Tuesday, Jenner revealed via Instagram that her fashion line, Kye, would be dropping some new items for sale on November 15. One of which, was puffer jackets.

"KHY DROP 002. puffers + base layers coming 11/15," the post read.

What fans were quick to pick up on was just how similar Jenner's puffer jackets were to that of her former brother-in-law's puffers that were part of West's line with Gap. A design that was only released by the brand Yeezy in 2021.

"Let's not act like Kylie didn't get this idea from Kanye" one fan wrote.

Another fan said, "So basically a combination of Yeezy and SKIMS."

"This looks a lot like Yeezy," a third fan commented.

It should not be surprising that Jenner's puffer jackets look like West's, given that Jenner worked with the same team that consulted on West's designs, Entire Studios. As such, the same techniques of not using buttons, zippers, or seams were used to create Jenner's puffers that come in blue, white, and black. A slight variant from West's that came in blue, black, and red for Gap, which were only taken off the shelves last year.

The accusations of Jenner's puffer jackets being nothing other than a copy of West's former designs, comes on the heels of Jenner being accused of copying another designer, just a week ago. That designer was Betsy Johnson, who claims that six months ago she sent Jenner and her team concepts for her upcoming line. A line of which Johnson alleges Jenner duped with Kye.

"We emailed Kylie and all her team @products.ltd concept and language and a line sheet 6 MONTHS AGO," Johnson wrote via Instagram. "INTERESTING CONCEPT KYLIE…INTERESTING. Thanks for the co-sign."

The post went on to say, "While I stare [at] my student debt. Worked my ass off for this. Like so many other working-class kids who bust their ass for expertise, they weren’t born into to realize their ideas."

Johnson concluded saying, "I know who my supporters are in and outside of fashion. And I appreciate those…You wanna gag over lazy celeb merch duped business models be my guest. Working ppl don’t lose hope, we’re here for more than a gag collection and a bag. Long game."

Despite this controversy with Jenner allegedly copying Johnson, Jenner has already made quite a bit of money from her fashion line. And based on the positive comments that are intermixed with the negative about the puffer jackets, Jenner stands to make much more.

When Kye launched on November 1, fans took to online shopping with fury. There was so much inventory purchased that in the first hour alone, Jenner made $1 million in revenue and sold out what was available in the process.

The launch consisted of "faux leather pants, coats, tops, and base layers." With 12 different items to choose from, in sizes XXS to 4X, fans were thrilled to get their orders in before their sizes sold out. Each piece was priced at under $200.

Fans had an idea of what they were going to see on launch day, given that Jenner and her friends, including Hailey Bieber, had been teasing the line via Instagram in the days before the launch.
